My name is Brianne Bailey and I am a student currently on a scholarship at Nova Southeastern University for Communication Studies and Theater.  I have been learning American Sign Language for five years and taught at an afterschool program for deaf children for two years.  I am an avid advocate for suicide prevention.  I have cofounded a program that helps middle and high schoolers deal with depression, catch the signs of depression, and would also provide grief counseling to those affected by suicide, etc.  Suicide is a 100% preventable issue and yet it is still such a rampant problem.  I have personally been affected by suicide and don’t want anyone else to go through what I have.  That is why I am so honored to be your Miss Intercontinental United States!  This organization promotes using your crown for a purpose and I will utilize the opportunity I have been given.  I plan to promote and expand my program throughout Middle and High schools across America and represent the United States to the best of my ability at the International competition!  Thank you all for your support and remember that every day is a second chance, make the best of it!
